CAS Schedules April Hearing for Jannik Sinner's Doping Case
The Court of Arbitration for Sport has set April 16th as the start date for Jannik Sinner's doping hearing, which will be held behind closed doors.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has confirmed that world number one Jannik Sinner's doping hearing will commence on April 16th. Sinner, 23, failed two drug tests in March for low levels of the anabolic androgenic steroid clostebol but was initially cleared by an independent tribunal in August.
However, the World Anti-Doping Agency appealed that decision at CAS in September, leaving Sinner facing the possibility of a ban of up to two years. The CAS hearing, scheduled to take place over two days, will be conducted behind closed doors. “No parties requested a public hearing and it will be conducted behind closed doors,,” CAS said in a statement.
