The match remained goalless at halftime, but Manchester United shocked the hosts with a 52nd-minute goal from Lisandro Martinez, who unleashed an unstoppable shot past Alisson. Liverpool equalized through Cody Gakpo, and later took the lead in the 70th minute when Salah converted a penalty, awarded after a VAR review.
Mohamed Salah's penalty goal not only gave Liverpool the lead but also marked a milestone, as he equaled Thierry Henry's record of 175 English top-flight goals.
However, Manchester United fought back, and with 10 minutes remaining, Cote d'Ivoire international Amad Diallo scored the equalizer to secure a 2-2 draw.
Nigeria international Taiwo Awoniyi opened his goal account for Nottingham Forest in style, scoring in stoppage time to seal a 3-0 away win at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Awoniyi replaced Chris Wood in the 88th minute and made an instant impact, adding to Morgan Gibbs-White and Wood's earlier goals.

This victory marked Forest's sixth consecutive win in the Premier League, their longest winning streak in the competition.
In Ligue 1, OGC Nice began 2025 on a high note with a 3-2 win over Rennes, thanks in part to goals from African stars Sofiane Diop and Evann Guessand.
Guessand put Nice ahead in the sixth minute, connecting with a Tanquy Ndombele cross and firing past goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.
In Ligue 1, OGC Nice secured a thrilling 3-2 win over Rennes. After Evann Guessand opened the scoring, Arnaud Kalimuendo equalized for Rennes in the 27th minute. However, Sofiane Diop restored Nice's lead just seven minutes later, and Gaetan Laborde added a third goal before halftime.
Rennes pulled one back through Adrien Truffert in the 49th minute, but it wasn't enough to prevent a defeat.
At the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, Augustine Boakye's brace helped St. Etienne beat Reims 3-1 and move clear of the relegation zone. Keito Nakamura initially put Reims ahead, ending his six-match goal drought. However, Boakye's two goals in the second half, combined with Lucas Stassin's strike, secured all three points for St. Etienne.
Strasbourg also enjoyed a 3-1 win over Auxerre, thanks in part to a goal from 21-year-old Senegalese midfielder Habib Diarra. Meanwhile, Andre Ayew scored a consolation goal for Le Havre in their 5-1 defeat at Olympique Marseille.

Former African Player of the Year Victor Osimhen played a crucial role in Galatasaray's 2-1 win over Goztepe in the Turkish Super Lig. The match took a decisive turn in the eighth minute when Kaan Ayhan was fouled by Djamal Silva, prompting the referee to award a penalty after consulting VAR. Osimhen stepped up and converted the penalty kick with ease, leaving goalkeeper Mateusz Lis with no chance.
However, Romulo equalized for Goztepe, cancelling out Osimhen's strike. But Galatasaray regained the lead in the 61st minute thanks to Yunus Akgun's winner, securing all three points for the league leaders.
In another Turkish Super Lig match, Morocco international Youssef En-Nesyri stole the show with a first-half brace, helping Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce secure a 2-1 win over Hatayspor.
