Mbappe and Valverde scored incredible long-range goals as Real Madrid dominated Sevilla 4-1, maintaining their pursuit of Atletico Madrid in the La Liga title race.

Kylian Mbappe and Federico Valverde stole the show with their incredible long-range goals, helping Real Madrid secure a crucial win over Sevilla and maintain pressure on La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid dominated the first half, with Mbappe, Valverde, and Rodrygo finding the back of the net to put Los Blancos firmly in control. The team's momentum continued into the second half, as Brahim Diaz sealed the deal with a beautifully crafted team goal, effectively ending Sevilla's hopes of a comeback.

In an emotional moment, Sevilla captain Jesus Navas, 39, made his final appearance for the club, coming off the bench to bid farewell to his 20-year connection with Sevilla. Navas' retirement, prompted by a chronic hip injury, marked the end of an era for the club.

Real Madrid took the lead in the 10th minute, thanks to Mbappe's stunning 25-yard strike, which dipped past Alvaro Fernandez at the end of a swift counter-attack. This goal set the tone for the rest of the match, showcasing Real Madrid's attacking prowess and their determination to stay in the title hunt.

Real Madrid's dominance was on full display as they took on Sevilla. Ten minutes into the game, Federico Valverde doubled Madrid's lead with an incredible 30-yard strike following a corner kick. This stunning effort showcased Valverde's impressive skill and power.

Madrid's attacking prowess continued to shine as Rodrygo swept home a Lucas Vazquez cut-back in the 34th minute, further solidifying their control over the game. However, Sevilla quickly responded by pulling a goal back through Isaac Romero's header from Juanlu Sanchez's cross, keeping the match intense and unpredictable.

The second half saw Kylian Mbappe turn provider, slipping in Brahim behind the Sevilla defense. Brahim then lifted a finish over the goalkeeper, extending Madrid's lead. The crowd at the Bernabeu erupted in applause as Keylor Navas entered the field, marking a memorable moment in the match.

Keylor Navas, the Spanish football legend, made his 705th appearance for Sevilla, marking a remarkable milestone exactly 20 years to the day since his first match at the Bernabeu. Navas, who has also played for Manchester City, almost made an instant impact, providing an assist, but Isaac's low strike rebounded off the post, denying Sevilla a goal.

Sevilla managed to pull another goal back in the 85th minute, as Dodi Lukebakio beat Thibaut Courtois at his near post, reducing the deficit to two goals. Despite the late surge, Real Madrid held on to secure a crucial victory.

The win marked Real Madrid's 19th victory in their last 20 home games against Sevilla, allowing them to leapfrog Barcelona into second place in the table. With a game in hand, Madrid now sit two points ahead of their arch-rivals and just one point behind leaders Atletico. Barcelona's 2-1 loss to Atletico on Saturday, courtesy of a 96th-minute goal, has seen them win just two of their last eight league games since their 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid in October.
