Besiktas beats Malmö 2-1 with late goals from Muçi and Kiliçsoy in Europa League.
Besiktas secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over Malmö in the Europa League on Wednesday, thanks to late goals from Ernest Muçi and Semih Kiliçsoy. The Turkish side's winning streak in the competition now stands at two games.
Muçi broke the deadlock in the 76th minute, expertly sidefooting home Jonas Svensson's cross from the right flank. Nine minutes later, Kiliçsoy sealed the win with a precise low shot from the edge of the area.
Malmö substitute Soren Rieks scored a consolation goal in stoppage time, but it was too little, too late for the visitors. This win follows Besiktas' impressive 1-0 upset over Lyon in the previous round.
With six points from four games, Besiktas solidifies its position in the standings. Malmö remains on three points. Manchester United, meanwhile, seeks its first win in the campaign against PAOK at Old Trafford on Thursday.
