EPL: Tottenham Boss Postecoglou Expects Tough Challenge from Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has responded to comments from Fulham defender Antonee Robinson, saying no team is unbeatable in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecolou has fired back at comments made by Fulham defender Antonee Robinson ahead of their weekend clash. Robinson had stated that Spurs are “not an unbeatable team by any stretch,” but Postecolou remains confident in his team's abilities.

Postecolou emphasized that while no team is invincible, Tottenham Hotspur have the potential to defeat any opponent in the Premier League. His response came in reaction to Robinson's remarks, as the two London-based teams prepare to face off on Sunday.

“We're not unbeatable. No team is! Not Fulham either. Even Liverpool have lost this year,” Postecoglou told reporters, emphasizing the competitive balance of the league.

“What other teams think is not relevant to us. On our day we can beat anyone, and that's what we try to continue to be. When we are that, we're a compelling side and are growing into the team we want to be.

“We've struggled in a few games this year, for sure. But that's part of our growth, to make sure our levels don't drop to what they did where we haven't played to our identity.”

Tottenham Hotspur currently occupy sixth place in the Premier League standings with 19 points from 12 matches, holding a slender one-point advantage over ninth-placed Fulham. According to Postecoglou, Fulham, under the guidance of manager Marco Silva, will pose a formidable challenge. Postecoglou acknowledged the significant impact Silva has had on the West London club, transforming them into a force to be reckoned with.

“I've got a lot of time for Marco. He's an outstanding manager. He's got the team really playing in a manner where they're always looking to be a threat,” Postecoglou added.

“He's stabilised them and their level of performance, they've got some good players in there. We had a couple of tough battles in there last year. They play as well, so it should be a good game.”
