President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has expressed his confidence in the country's ongoing economic reforms, stating that they will have a profound impact on Africa's future. Speaking at a State Dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palais des Élysée on November 28, Tinubu highlighted Nigeria's crucial role in shaping Africa's future.

Tinubu praised the strong bond between Nigeria and France, commending Macron's dedication to Africa. This statement comes as Nigeria undergoes significant economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies and the unification of the naira's exchange rates. These reforms aim to boost Nigeria's economy and promote growth, but experts warn that they may also lead to increased poverty and inflation 

Tinubu's economic reforms have been well-received by the international financial community, but critics argue that they may not adequately address the country's deep-seated structural issues. To achieve sustainable growth, Nigeria must prioritize improving its business environment, boosting productivity, and diversifying its exports.

Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Tinubu, revealed details of a significant event in a recent State House press statement. President Tinubu, accompanied by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu and a high-level delegation, including World Trade Organization Director-General Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.

President Tinubu expressed his gratitude and honor at being received by French President Emmanuel Macron, acknowledging Macron's deep understanding of Nigeria's vast potential. This meeting highlights the strengthening of ties between Nigeria and France, with a focus on cooperation and partnership.

President Bola Tinubu commended the presence of prominent Nigerian businessmen, including Aliko Dangote, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, and Tony Elumelu, at a recent event. Their presence served as a testament to the enduring partnership between Nigeria and France.

Tinubu expressed his confidence in Nigeria's ongoing reforms, believing they will create a brighter future not just for Nigeria, but for the entire African continent. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and mutual support in driving economic growth and development.

Notably, Tinubu has also established an Economic Advisory Committee, comprising esteemed individuals like Dangote and Elumelu, to provide expert guidance on tackling Nigeria's economic challenges.

“This is a good time for all of us,” Tinubu noted.
