Arsenal got their title challenge back on track with a convincing 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest, with Saka, Partey, and Nwaneri on the scoresheet.

Arsenal reignited their title challenge with a convincing win over Nottingham Forest, securing their first Premier League victory in five matches.

The Gunners had experienced a dip in form, with injuries and a tough fixture schedule contributing to their slump. However, they dominated from the outset against Forest, with Bukayo Saka giving them the lead after 15 minutes.

Saka's goal was a highlight of the match, as he exchanged passes with Martin Odegaard before beating two defenders and scoring. Thomas Partey doubled the lead with a curled effort from 20 yards, and Ethan Nwaneri added a third late on.

Nottingham Forest, who have been the surprise package of the season, struggled to gain a foothold in the game. They failed to muster a shot on target, with their best opportunities being tame headers from Ryan Yates and Nicolas Dominguez.

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber thought he had scored before Saka's opener, but the goal was disallowed due to Mikel Merino being offside in the build-up.

This match marked Mikel Arteta's 250th in charge of Arsenal, and he will hope the win sparks a run of form that will help his side close the gap on their rivals at the top.

Mikel Arteta's team selection raised eyebrows, with five changes made to the lineup that drew with Chelsea. However, his decisions proved justified as Arsenal dominated the match.

Arteta's bold team selection also allowed him to rest key players Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Martinelli ahead of their Champions League clash with Sporting next week.

Martin Odegaard's return to the starting lineup was a significant boost for Arsenal. The captain, who had been sidelined with an injury, was instrumental in creating scoring opportunities, frequently linking up with Bukayo Saka.

Odegaard's creative influence was evident as he picked up his second assist in as many matches, combining with Saka for the opening goal. Saka, in turn, benefited from Odegaard's presence, playing a role in Arsenal's first two goals and earning his eighth assist of the season.

Nuno Espirito Santo made some bold decisions before the match, but they didn't pay off. He benched in-form striker Chris Wood, who had recently played for New Zealand, and omitted midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White from the squad.

Forest's game plan was to absorb Arsenal's pressure and counter-attack using the pace of wingers Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi. However, they were unable to breach the Arsenal defense and Nuno's frustration was evident on the sidelines.

Substitute Jota Silva thought he had scored a late consolation goal, but it was ruled out for offside. Despite the loss, Forest's excellent start to the season remains intact. However, they were comprehensively beaten, failing to register a shot on target and suffering their second consecutive defeat.
