Wahid Enitan Oshodi elected 6th President of African Table Tennis Federation, leading continental organization alongside Deputy President Alfred Bagueka.

Nigeria's Wahid Enitan Oshodi has made history by becoming the sixth President of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF). In a unanimous decision, the 40-member electorate chose Oshodi to lead the continental organization during the Elective Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the African Union (AU) Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Oshodi's election is a significant milestone for Nigeria, as he becomes the second Nigerian to hold this prestigious position, following in the footsteps of Segun George, who led the ATTF from 1988 to 1996. As the Executive Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), Oshodi brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

Oshodi will take over from Egypt's Khaled El-Salhy, who has completed three terms as ATTF President. With Oshodi at the helm, Nigeria is now the only country with a citizen leading a continental sports organization. This achievement underscores Oshodi's leadership capabilities and the confidence the electorate has in his vision for African table tennis.

Highlights of Oshodi's Election:

Unanimous Decision: Oshodi was chosen by all 40 members of the electorate

Second Nigerian President: Oshodi follows Segun George, who led the ATTF from 1988 to 1996

ITTF Experience: Oshodi brings valuable experience as Executive Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation

  • Deputy President: Alfred Bagueka (Cameroon)
  • Executive Vice Presidents:
  • Technical: Germain Karou
  • Development: Andrew Mudibo

These elections demonstrate a strong commitment to unity and progress within the African table tennis community.
