LaLiga: Barcelona Thrash Real Madrid 4-0 in El Clasico, Lewandowski Scores Twice
Robert Lewandowski's double and goals from Lamine Yamal and Raphinha gave Barcelona a convincing 4-0 El Clasico win over Real Madrid, moving them six points clear.
Barcelona delivered a devastating second-half performance to thrash Real Madrid 4-0 in El Clasico, extending their lead at the top of La Liga to six points. Robert Lewandowski's double and goals from Lamine Yamal and Raphinha sealed the victory.
Lewandowski broke the deadlock in the 54th minute with a clinical finish, followed by a headed second three minutes later. Yamal, 17, became the youngest-ever El Clasico scorer with a stunning strike, before Raphinha's late lob.
Real Madrid's 43-game unbeaten league run was halted, and Kylian Mbappe's El Clasico debut ended in defeat. Barcelona's youthful lineup, guided by Lewandowski's experience, proved too much for their rivals.
Manager Hansi Flick praised his team's high defensive line, saying, “It looks dangerous - but it's not dangerous.” Carlo Ancelotti lamented Real Madrid's lack of accuracy and energy after conceding.
The win solidifies Barcelona's title ambitions, with Lewandowski now on 14 La Liga goals this season.
