Lagos State has witnessed yet another building collapse, but fortunately, no casualties have been reported this time. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed that emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene to handle the situation.

This incident comes after two recent building collapses in the state. In May, a devastating four-story building collapse occurred on Lagos Island, specifically at Iga Iduganran, near the Oba of Lagos' palace, trapping an unknown number of people. Thankfully, eight people were rescued.

In July, a family narrowly escaped death when the boys' quarters behind a storey building on No 49 Oyinlola Street, Off Adealu Bus Stop, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos State, suddenly caved in.

These incidents highlight the need for stricter building regulations and regular inspections to prevent such tragedies in the future. Remembering the 2021 Lagos high-rise collapse that claimed 42 lives, it's crucial for authorities to take proactive measures to ensure public safety.
