Three students from Iseyin College of Health Science and Technology were remanded by the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates' Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly causing the death of their 16-year-old colleague. This decision was made by the Magistrate on Tuesday, September 17, with the defendants facing charges of conspiracy and murder.


The case is currently under the supervision of the presiding Magistrate, who did not take the defendants' plea due to the court's lack of jurisdiction. Instead, the Magistrate ordered that the trio be held at the Agodi Correctional Centre in Ibadan, pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution.


On July 29, a tragic incident unfolded at a school in Iseyin, Oyo State, where three students allegedly conspired with others still at large to assault their 16-year-old colleague. According to the prosecution, led by the Inspector, the defendants and their accomplices brutally beat the victim with their fists during a fierce fight.


Following the altercation, the victim returned home, complaining of severe body pains, but unfortunately, their condition worsened, and they eventually passed away. This heartbreaking event has led to the defendants being remanded, facing charges of conspiracy and murder.
