MohBad's Family Feud: Mother Urges Settlement
Mother of Late Singer MohBad Wants Family Resolution
“I don't want anybody to do anything, and what Mohbad's father says should be the final decision...”
Mohbad's family seeks justice one year after his death, with a second autopsy granted due to inconclusive initial results, attributed to body decomposition and potential medication interactions.
Abosede Olumiyi, the mother of late singer Mohbad, has made a U-turn in her pursuit of justice, now calling for a family settlement to resolve the issues surrounding her son's death.
In a recent video that went viral, Olumiyi expressed her dissatisfaction with the current proceedings, including the coroner's inquest hearing on Wednesday. She appeared to be retracting her earlier demands for a thorough investigation.
Olumiyi surprisingly deferred to her ex-husband, Aloba, stating that his words on the investigation and other matters concerning their late son are final. This comes after a period of public disagreement between the two over the handling of Mohbad's death investigation.
In a shocking twist, Abosede Olumiyi sparked a paternity dispute in February by claiming that Aloba was not Mohbad's biological father, and demanded a DNA test to prove his paternity.
Aloba vehemently denied the allegation, affirming that he is indeed the late singer's father, and rejecting Olumiyi's claims.
Olumiyi further accused Aloba of delaying Mohbad's reburial and exploiting their son's death for financial gain, adding to the growing list of contentious issues between the two.
Olumiyi said: “I don't want anybody to do anything, and what Mohbad's father says should be the final decision. I don't want anybody to do anything. I want them to go to church and mosque to pray for Mohbad.
“This is because everything people are doing does not make sense. They did not make the family happy. The mother and the father are not happy. We beg the government in the name of God to let us be and allow our family to settle this case.”
In a surprising turn of events, Mohbad's mother has shifted her support to her ex-husband, Aloba, following a public feud with her daughter-in-law, Wunmi.
A viral audio revealed Mohbad's mother accusing Wunmi of secretly removing Mohbad's belongings from his house without her knowledge or consent, or that of Mohbad's younger brother.

Mohbad's mother expressed deep hurt and disappointment, feeling betrayed by Wunmi's actions, which she saw as deceitful and disrespectful, despite her own support for Wunmi during difficult times.
Mohbad's mother had expected empathy and transparency from Wunmi, given her close connection to the family, but instead felt let down, leading to the public fallout.
Mohbad's mother has surprisingly switched sides, now supporting her ex-husband Aloba, after a bitter dispute with her daughter-in-law Wunmi.
In a leaked audio recording, Mohbad's mother alleged that Wunmi secretly cleared out Mohbad's home, taking his belongings without informing her or Mohbad's younger brother.
Despite previously supporting Wunmi during tough times, Mohbad's mother feels deeply hurt and betrayed, accusing Wunmi of repaying her kindness with deceit and disrespect.
Mohbad's mother expressed disappointment and sadness, feeling Wunmi lacked empathy and transparency, and had broken the trust she once had in her.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was initially laid to rest in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on September 13, 2023.
One year after Mohbad's passing, his family, led by his father, continues to advocate for justice, seeking answers and accountability. They have been vocal in their pursuit, sharing their story through various media channels.
Despite conflicting reports surrounding the circumstances of Mohbad's death, the family has secured a court order to conduct a second autopsy. This decision follows their expressed dissatisfaction with the initial autopsy results, which were deemed inconclusive and failed to provide the clarity they sought.
The autopsy, which began in September 2023 and was released on June 7, was unable to determine the cause of Mohbad's death due to the advanced state of body decomposition and potential interactions with medications he received prior to his passing.
The inconclusive autopsy results left many questions unanswered, highlighting the complexity of the case and the need for further investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Mohbad's tragic death.
