King Charles III hosts President Bola Tinubu at Buckingham Palace, discussing diplomatic relations and partnerships between Nigeria and the UK, ahead of Tinubu's trip to the UN General Assembly in New York.
King Charles III welcomed President Bola Tinubu to Buckingham Palace on Thursday, September 12, for a meeting focused on strengthening diplomatic ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
President Tinubu's media aide, Olusegun Dada, shared a photo of the warm encounter on social media, highlighting the leaders' discussion on fostering partnerships and collaborations between the two nations.
He said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited His Majesty, King Charles at Buckingham Palace.
“The significant meeting, highlighting the continued diplomatic ties and partnership between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.”
President Tinubu and King Charles III last met in November 2023, ahead of the COP28 climate conference in Dubai.
Following his visit to China, where Nigeria signed several agreements, President Tinubu stopped in the UK before heading to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, his next destination.
