Royal wedding in Kano - Emir Sanusi's son ties the knot amidst protests...

Emir of Kano's son, Ashraf Adam, weds Sultana Nazif in Abuja, couple prints personalized currency for celebration to avoid EFCC scrutiny.

Despite the ongoing #endbadgovernance protests, a joyous occasion took place in Kano as Ashraf Adam, son of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, wedded his beloved Sultana Nazif. The groom shared moments from the special day on his Instagram story, giving a glimpse into the celebration.

Sultana, the daughter of Bauchi state politician Suleiman Mohammed Nazif, became the bride of Ashraf Adam in a union that had been eagerly anticipated for two months. The wedding festivities commenced on Tuesday, July 30th, and reached a grand conclusion on Friday, August 2nd.

The wedding ceremony of the Emir of Kano's son took place at the National Mosque in Abuja, where the couple exchanged their vows in a beautiful holy matrimony. A grand reception followed immediately after the ceremony.

In a creative and humorous twist, the couple decided to print their own personalized currency, adorned with their images, to use for the traditional “naira rain” celebration. This clever move was made to avoid any potential issues with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which has been cracking down on excessive money spraying at events.
