The wife initially resisted arrest but is now detained at the Baguio City police station, pending further investigation and potential charges for suspected mutilation. The bloodstained knife and severed penis have been recovered from the crime scene.

The wife raged in her statement to the police: “My husband had the audacity to utter his mistress's name instead of mine! I was under the influence of alcohol, but I was fully aware of my actions.”

The wife disclosed that she had been trying to prove her husband's adultery, but she lacked enough proof.
