Pep Guardiola has sparked intrigue by refusing to rule out signing a new contract at Manchester City. Despite previously suggesting he was closer to leaving the club, Guardiola clarified his comments, stating, “I did not say I am leaving City!”

The Spanish manager emphasized his desire to make the right decision, not just for himself, but also for the players. With eight years already spent at the helm, Guardiola acknowledged he won't be staying for another eight, but left the door ajar for a potential extension.

Pep Guardiola: “I am NOT ruling out absolutely that I sign a new contract at City.

“I said I am closer to leaving than leaving City... but I did not say I am leaving City!”

“I want to be sure it's the right decision not just for me but for the players.

Pep Guardiola continued: “I have been at Man City for eight years. So I'm not staying here for eight more years, that's why I'm more closer to leaving than staying!.

“But I didn't say I'm leaving...”

Guardiola's comments have ignited hope among City fans that he may yet commit to a longer stay, bringing further success to the club. As the situation unfolds, one thing is clear - Pep Guardiola's future at Manchester City remains uncertain, but not entirely out of the question.
