Tinubu leaves Lagos for the inauguration of Ramaphosa

Tinubu travels to South Africa for President Ramaphosa's second-term inauguration, fostering regional cooperation.



On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu traveled from Lagos to Pretoria to attend the inauguration of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.


President Bola Tinubu boarded a Dassault Falcon 8X plane at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, and took off at 11:06 a.m.


The president was escorted to the airport by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, and other government representatives.


According to Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesman, Tinubu plans to attend Ramaphosa's inauguration after he is re-elected for a second term.


It was reported that following the African National Congress's (ANC) successful formation of a historic coalition government, Ramaphosa was re-elected for a second term.


Following the event, President Tinubu is anticipated to return to Nigeria.
