President Tinubu Orders BPP DG Mamman Ahmadu to Step Down: Move Part of Broader Reorganization Effort to Enhance Transparency and Efficiency in Public Procurement System.
Mamman Ahmadu has been requested to step down from his position as the director-general and CEO of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) by President Bola Tinubu.
The decision “is part of a larger reorganization effort in the public procurement system to reposition the agency for greater efficiency and transparency,” according to a statement released on Saturday by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale.
Ngelale further stated that Ahmadu will be turned over to the bureau's highest ranking official while a new director general is appointed.
“The President thanks Mr. Ahmadu for his services and wishes him success in his future endeavours,” Ngelale said.
