Petrol Supply from Dangote Refinery Now Scheduled for July

Aliko Dangote shifts the date of his refinery's petrol deliveries to July.

Dangote Refinery Delays Petrol Supply to July: Aliko Dangote announces a brief delay in petrol deliveries from his refinery, now scheduled for July 15, ensuring a smooth supply to the downstream market.

Aliko Dangote has declared that the gasoline supply from the Dangote Petroleum Refinery would now start in July instead of June as previously planned, citing a small delay.

Dangote had stated that Nigeria wouldn't need to import gasoline once the refinery started generating it.

Speaking on June 9 at the opening of the fully demolished Dangote Sinotruk West Africa plant in Lagos, Dangote stated that the refiner should start delivering gasoline to the downstream market by July 15.

“We had a bit of delay, but PMS will start coming out by 10 to 15 of July. But then we want to keep it in the tank to make sure that it settles.

“So by the third week of July, we'll be able to come out to take it into the market, he said.

The richest man in Africa, Dangote, stated on June 3 that certain international oil corporations (IOCs) are having difficulty getting crude to his refinery.

The IOCS is currently in discussions with the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) to make sure they fulfill their domestic crude oil supply commitments, the NUPRC said on June 5.
