Sokoto State University's degree programs are accredited by NUC

Sokoto State University Achieves 100% Accreditation for All 18 Undergraduate Programs, Demonstrating Commitment to Academic Excellence and Highest Standards

All 18 of Sokoto State University's undergraduate degree programs that were submitted for accreditation have been fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

This information was included in a summary of results letter that was signed by Engineer Abraham Chundusu, Acting Director of Accreditation, on behalf of the commission's Executive Secretary, and delivered to Professor Bashir Garba, Vice-Chancellor.

The letter states that the following programs have been granted full accreditation: Arabic, Hausa, History, Islamic Studies, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, and Education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry.

The Vice-Chancellor responded to the accreditation results by thanking the commission on behalf of the university for the successful completion of the exercise.

He gave his word that the university would continue to be dedicated to upholding the greatest academic standards in order to continuously fulfill all NUC requirements for worldwide ranking.

“Indeed, this achievement underscores the university's commitment to academic excellence and its dedication to meeting the highest standards set by the NUC. Scoring full accreditation status for all the programmes presented to the NUC required commitment and dedication,” Professor Garba, enthused.

Additionally, he expressed his profound gratitude to Senator Aliyu Wamakko, the institution's founder, for his unwavering support and commitment to the university's expansion and improvement.

In a statement released by Zayyanu Shehu, the university's media officer, the vice-chancellor explicitly thanked Governor Ahmed Aliyu for his support.
