Korra Obidi opens up about her marriage ending, revealing it's been a blessing in disguise for her career. She shares how being single has led to back-to-back bookings, highlighting the industry's perception of married women.

Korra Obidi, the talented entertainer, shared her unexpected joy at her marriage ending. Contrary to societal expectations, Korra revealed that her single status has been a career boon, leading to a surge in bookings and opportunities.

She said: “One thing about we humans is that when somebody's married. I don't know you people don't like the person anymore. You kind of like go 'ahh happy married life', and then 'she can't be on my show,' 'she can't be in my movie'. But now I'm single... I'm getting booked back to back, so it's good for me. I think being single is good in the industry.”

Korra's honest admission sheds light on a long-standing industry bias. She astutely observed that once a woman is married, she's often perceived as “off the market” and less desirable for projects and collaborations. This harmful assumption can stifle a married woman's career growth and limit her professional prospects.
