Singapore Airlines Flight Hits Deadly Turbulence, 1 Killed
A deadly turbulence strikes a Singaporean plane, killing one and injuring multiple others.
A Singapore Airlines flight, traveling from London to Singapore, was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok on Tuesday due to severe turbulence, resulting in the tragic death of one passenger and injuries to several others.
The irregular or unpredictable air movement that generates abrupt, erratic oscillations in an airplane during flight is referred to as turbulence. It is a frequent event that can cause anything from small bumps to powerful shocks.
The airline posted on Facebook that there were 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board the Boeing 777-300ER.
“The aircraft diverted to Bangkok and landed at 1545hrs local time on 21 May 2024. We can confirm that there are injuries and one fatality on board the Boeing 777-300ER. Singapore Airlines offers its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.

The airline also said that it was sending a crew to Bangkok to provide any further support required and that it was collaborating with Thai authorities to provide medical assistance to passengers.
