Diddy apologizes after it is discovered that he assaulted his former lover, Cassie.

Music mogul Sean Combs, often known as Diddy, has issued an apology following the release of a graphic video that purportedly shows him abusing his former girlfriend, Cassie, or Cassandra Ventura, in a hotel corridor in 2016.

Diddy admitted the seriousness of his conduct in a video that was uploaded to his Instagram page.

“That behaviour in that video is inexcusable,” he said.

“I take full responsibility for my actions. I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now.”

Diddy continued by saying that after the incident, he sought professional assistance, such as counseling and rehab.

“I sought out professional help; I had to go on therapy and rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I'm so sorry.

“I'm committed to being a better man, each and every day. I'm not asking for forgiveness. I'm truly sorry.”

A video of Diddy aggressively abusing Cassie in a hotel corridor in 2016 surfaced on Friday.

Diddy was seen pursuing Cassie down the corridor in a towel and attacking her close to the elevators in the multi-angle video.

The InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, is where the incident happened.
