Most Nigerians receive their electricity from my family's four power facilities, Davido
David Adeleke, well known as Davido, recently disclosed that the majority of Nigerians receive their electricity from his family's four power plants.
Davido made this statement when discussing his family business and personal finances on the American podcast “Business Untitled.”
Davido disclosed, “I once tried to go into cryptocurrency because Nigeria is big on crypto. Apart from that, me and my family have like four power plants worth a lot of money, We distribute energy to most of Nigeria.”
He went on to say that his wife has a strong interest in the culinary arts because they are now building a restaurant for her.
“My wife is into culinary. We are trying to start a restaurant for her. But my main business is what I love; my music.”
Davido comes from a wealthy family with energy interests, but as most of Nigeria's major thermal and hydropower facilities are government controlled, opinions on his claim that they play a part in meeting the country's energy needs may differ.
