UNIMAID Professor Fatally Stabbed In His Office
A UNIMAID professor was fatally stabbed at work
The lecturer has been identified as UNIMAID's Department of Physical Health Education PhD candidate Kamar Abdulkadir.
Abdulkadir was found dead in a pool of his own blood on Sunday, his body covered in several wounds from his assassins.
The lecturer's physical injuries suggested that he was attacked with a knife and hammer, according to reports.
According to a source, the lecturer's car and other valuables were also taken by the killers.
“His hands were peeled off when he tried to stop the attackers from stabbing him. They also used a hammer to smash his head and his spinal cord, killing him instantly,” the source said.
The latest in a string of violent assaults targeting academics and colleges is the UNIMAID case.
A female lecturer at the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna named Funmilola Adefolalu was discovered dead in October 2023.
The lecturer was discovered at her home in Minna's Gbaiko neighborhood, lying in a pool of blood.
The police, at the time, said two knives with blood stains suspected to have been used to stab her were found at the scene.
A 400-level Abia State University (ABSU) student was murdered in March 2024 in a conflict between competing cults.
