PDP Secretary Killed By Attackers In Zamfara
ALHAJI Musa Ille, the secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State's Tsafe local government area, was shot and killed at his home on Monday, April 15, during a terrorist attack.
This unsettling episode happened at approximately 8 p.m. when assailants broke into his house and murdered him in front of it.
This incident occurred only one month after terrorists assassinated Alhaji Shafiu Abubakar, a well-known PDP leader in Zamfara state, and two other people close to Danbaza intersection and Maradun town, which serves as the seat of the Maradun local government area.
The assailants had been ambushing motorists along a 10-kilometer stretch of road leading to Maradun town, using large stones to block the path and then opening fire on trapped vehicles, resulting in fatalities and injuries.
However, in the process of pursuing his dream of running for the chairperson of the Maradun local government area council in the next local government elections, Alhaji Shafiu Abubakar was assassinated.
It was discovered that there are ongoing worries about rising violence in the region even if the military and mobile police units are present.
Residents, especially since Bello Matawalle, the current Minister of State for Defense, is from Maradun, demanded swift and serious action against the robbers responsible for these attacks.
Regarding the circumstances surrounding Alhaji Musa Ille's assassination, the Zamfara State Police Command has not yet made any public statements.
The community is still on edge, dealing with the death of a loyal party official in the face of persistent security threats in the area.
