Naira Abuse: Don't Run When EFCC Invites You — Cubana Chief Priest
PASCAL Okechukwu, a.k.a. Cubana Chief Priest, is a well-known Nigerian celebrity who has advised the public to accept invitations from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) rather than refusing them.
Remember that a court recently granted Cubana Chief Priest bail in relation to an alleged Naira abuse? The socialite appeared in court before Justice Kehinde Ogundare at the Federal High Court in Lagos, where he was charged with three counts of abusing Naira. He filed a not guilty plea.
Cubana Chief Priest, however, commended the EFCC on Instagram amid rumors that the agency had proclaimed former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello wanted for eluding capture and missing a court date.
He urged Nigerians to comply with EFCC invitations and emphasized the need of confronting legal proceedings rather than trying to avoid them.
He wrote, “The Eagle will always fly so high to catch you wherever you hide, No need to run when @officialefcc invites you, just pull up and answer them, they don't bite, they don't beat, they only investigate and prosecute.
“For their cell bed dey, toilet & bathroom Dey, even breakfast, lunch & dinner is served so tell me why are you running.... how long will you run....na big man location Efcc Be. For me, It's a status symbol.”
