Imo State Governor Uzodimma Appoints 16 special Advisers
GOVERNOR Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has approved the appointment of 16 Special Advisers, SAs, to deepen the gains of the Shared Prosperity 3R Government of his second term administration
The governor stated that the appointments are effective immediately, according to a statement made by the governor's chief press secretary, Oguwike Nwachuku, on Wednesday, April 17.
Barr is one of the recently hired SAs. Leo Awazieama, Comrade Austin Chilakpu, Joseph Oputa, and Ijeoma Ikegwuruka.
Amarachi Anyaehie, Andy Chikwe, Chidi Onyewuchi, John Ikeaka, Chinyere Emeziem, Esther Ukachukwu, Ezechi Chukwueme, Humphrey Ikeaka, Barr, and Dr. Patrick Uzoma are the others. Pat Ekeji, Ngozi.
The governor approved of the newly appointed officials and advised them to get ready to do their share of the work in the state's best interests.
The Imo State gubernatorial election was decisively won by Uzodinma in November 2023.
Having won every one of the state's 27 LGAs, he received the majority of the total votes polled.
Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 71,503 votes, and Athan Achonu of the Labour Party (LP), who received 64,081 votes, were defeated by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who got 540,308 votes.
Owerri Municipal, Ideato South, Onuimo, Okigwe, Orsu, Ihitte Uboma, Mbaitoli, Nkwerre, and Ahiazu Mbaise were among the local governments that Uzodinma was able to win.
The Imo gubernatorial election's returning officer, Abayomi Fashina, proclaimed Uzodinma the victor.
