Anambra Boat Mishap: ‘I Made Obeisance To The Water Spirit Before Getting Into The Boat’ — Tochukwu Okafor
POPULAR Nollywood actor and director Tochukwu Okafor, also known as TC Virus, who survived the recent boat catastrophe, revealed that before boarding the unfortunate vessel that sadly killed well-known actor Junior Pope and three other people, he carried out a ritual to thank the river gods.
On Thursday, April 11, 2023, TC revealed on an Instagram live session that he was aboard the boat with Junior Pope and their coworkers.
He related how, before to the expedition, he threw a fizzy drink into the river as a sign of respect for the water spirits and to fend off any impending bad luck.
Furthermore, TC stated that he thought the incident with another vessel may have been avoided if the boat driver had had enough experience.
He remarked, “Before entering the boat, I carried my...Junior Pope asked me wetin you dey do, I tell ham say I dey observe water people o. I no dey fit pass without sharing something. I don give them Fanta abeg I don't want any bad thing to happen to me."
