FG Declares April 7th National Police Day

VICE President Shettima made this revelation on Monday night in Abuja at the police force's inaugural award and commendations ceremony.

The President's speech, “Courage Under Fire: A Bouquet for Our Police Force,” was given by Shettima. Vice President Shettima stressed that even if Nigeria is confronted with enormous security issues, the people's fortitude comes from the police force's persistent commitment.

He reaffirmed the administration's unwavering commitment to modernizing and professionalizing the Nigeria Police Force in order to bring it into line with the goals and values of the country.

Investments in training and capacity-building are among the many reforms put in place with the goal of providing officers with the knowledge and abilities needed to successfully address the problems of modern police.

Shettima also pledged government assistance in modernizing technology and equipment to increase the force's operational efficacy and efficiency.
