EFCC Shares A MugshotOf Bobrisky Over Money Laundering


CONTROVERSIAL transvestite Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has been taken into custody by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over abusing naira, spraying of naira notes and currency mutilation.


Bobrisky, who has been involved in a number of scandals in recent weeks, was taken into custody at the EFCC's Lagos Command on Wednesday night after being apprehended there.


EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the arrest and said Bobrisky was held for abusing Naira and mutilating cash.


According to him, Bobrisky is being held at their Lagos prison and will shortly be in court.


The EFCC, in a statement on their official Instagram page, explained that Bobrisky's arrest stemmed from a video showing him spraying and displaying bundles of new Naira notes at the premiere of Eniola Ajao's movie, ‘Ajajaku.’ Further investigation revealed similar incidents at various events.


According to a commission statement, “The EFCC had invited the 31-year old following a video report of spraying and flaunting wads of new Naira notes at the premiere of a movie, Ajakaju, produced by Eniola Ajao, a Nollywood actress and producer, at Film One Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos on March 24, 2024.


“Investigation also revealed that he had also committed the alleged offence at some other event centres and parties at different times.


“Following the invitation by the Commission, he arrived at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC in the morning of Wednesday, April 4, 2024 for interrogation and volunteered his statements.


“He will soon be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.”


However, mugshot of Bobrisky, has set the internet on fire.


Nonetheless, Bobrisky's mugshot, which was posted on Instagram along with the message, has gained attention on social media.


Even while in detention, the crossdresser's appearance was commended by a few commentators.
