Court Fixes April 23 For Ruling On Substituted Service On Yahaya Bello

THE court will rule on Yahaya Bello's substituted service on April 23, according to the EFCC's accusation.

A Federal High Court in Abuja postponed its decision on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's (EFCC) request for substituted service of the charge against Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the immediate-past governor of Kogi State, until April 23 on Thursday.

Following the oral application's presentation of arguments by Kemi Pinheiro, SAN, counsel for the EFCC, and Abdulwahab Mohammed, SAN, attorney for the former governor, Justice Emeka Nwite set the date.

The former governor was not present in court when Bello's arraignment on a 19-count money laundering charge against him was called.
