Cashew-laden Truck Crashes Into Private Automobile, Killing An Ilesa Varsity Worker
Teachers, students, and other stakeholders at the University of Ilesa in Osun State were thrown into grief on Wednesday after one of the staff member's cars was struck by a container that was overflowing with cashew nuts, resulting in her death.
Although her name was not disclosed at the time this report was filed, the staff member was recognized as an employee of the institution before to her demise, which occurred a short distance from the university's entrance on the Lesa-Ibodi Expressway.
Despite their best efforts, the good Samaritans on the scene were unable to save the victim from having her life taken by the occurrence.
The deceased was taken out of her automobile dead, according to Kehinde Adeleke, the Osun State spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
She stated that when the incident occurred, representatives from sister security agencies and the civil defense were on the scene to provide assistance.
However, because the accident-related vehicles obstructed the passageways, the development severely limited the freedom of movement for both people and vehicles along the routes.
A university employee who spoke to our reporter under the condition of anonymity expressed her condolences for the deceased and said that she had just left the main campus when the event happened.
