31 Injured, 14 Died In A Bus Accident In Mexico

Mexico bus tragedy results in 14 fatalities and 31 injuries

On Sunday, April 28, in Mexico, there was a traffic accident that resulted in at least 14 fatalities and 31 injuries.

A bus toppled on the road in the state of Mexico, not far from the capital, according to the regional safety office.

According to preliminary information, 31 people have been hurt and 14 people have died.

This contributes to the worrying trend of traffic accidents in Mexico, where the National Statistics Institute reports that 377,231 claims were made in 2022 alone.

At least 45 people lost their lives in a bus accident in the province of Limpopo, South Africa, while one person was seriously injured in another event.

A bus carrying worshippers to an Easter conference went off a cliff on Thursday, March 28, while traveling via the dangerous Mamatlakala mountain pass between Mokopane and Marken.

The bus caught fire after collision, adding to the horror.

Among the dead were pilgrims making their way from Botswana's capital, Gaborone, to attend an Easter church service.

Despite the chaos, the only person to survive the event was an eight-year-old girl.

According to early accounts, there's a chance the driver lost control, which would have caused the disastrous fall off the cliff.

The bus sustained considerable damage, and the difficult terrain of the mountain pass has delayed efforts to rescue the victims' corpses.

Minister Chikunga emphasized the importance of driving responsibly in a somber speech, particularly over the Easter holiday when more traffic means more risks on the roads.

She stressed that everyone has a shared obligation to maintain road safety in an effort to prevent more tragedies and protect valuable lives. She called for alertness and prudence.
