Players Missing On Super Eagles Rooster For March Friendlies
Seven members of the Super Eagles AFCON squad are absent from the roster for their friendly matches against Ghana and Mali.
According to the list, up to seven Nigerian players who competed in the just finished Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire were left off of the roster for the team's upcoming international friendlies against Ghana and Mali, respectively.
Later this month, in the Moroccan city of Marrakech, Nigeria, the vice champions of Africa, will play two top-tier friendlies against Les Aigles of Mall and Ghana's Black Stars.
The matchup against Mall is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26 at 9 p.m. at the same location in Marrakech; the matchup against Ghana is scheduled for Friday, March 22.
The roster for the match was missing seven players who were on the squad that competed at the AFCON and lost to the host Cote d'Ivoire 1-2 in the championship match. They are Paul Onuachu, Terem Moffi, Joe Aribo, and captain Ahmed Musa. Ola Aina, Zaidu Sanusi, and William Troost-Ekong are the three players who are out due to injury.

Two new players were given their spots: Gabriel Osho of Luton Town and Benjamin Tanimu, a Tanzanian player. Sadiq Umar, Tyronne Ebuehi, Cyriel Dessers, Nathan Tella, Jamilu Collins, and Wilfred Ndidi are among the other returning members of the team.
