May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing.”

The actor disclosed that he had a condition in October 2023 that might require him to amputate one of his legs. He claimed that while working on a movie set with other Nollywood actors and actresses, he became aware of the issue.

In order to pay for his medical expenses, Mr. Ibu had made a request for prayers and money from his fans and the general public. In addition, he uploaded a video of himself expressing his fear of losing his leg while lying in a hospital bed.
