Rema Captures Audience With His Performance At Brit Awards [FULL VIDEO]
The multi-award winning vocalist Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, performed brilliantly on Saturday night at the BRIT Awards.
In front of international music celebrities who had gathered for the most prominent music awards ceremony in the UK, the Nigerian star performed his hit song “Calm Down” with an abundance of style and swagger.
His performance at the Brit Awards makes him the second Nigerian artist to do so. 2018's award ceremony featured a performance by Burna Boy.
The fact that his most recent EP, Ravage, debuted on the charts in more than 50 countries just hours after its release on Friday, October 26, 2023, is further evidence of his successful career.
This follows the singer's historic achievement of becoming the first African musician to win a Chinese Music Award.
The singer accomplished this after winning Best Collaboration of the Year at the 2024 Hito Music Award in the Republic of China with his song “Calm Down,” a remix featuring American pop sensation Selena Gomez.
Rema ends his “Ravage Uprising” 02 Arena tour in London in November 2023. Many Nigerian celebrities and fans traveled all the way to London for the sold-out, 20,000-seat event, which can only be described as another celebration of Afrobeats.
Rema joined other celebrated Nigerian performers who had already sold out the arena, including Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Asake.
