MohBad's Death: Mother Claims Joseph Aloba Is Battling His Daughter-in-law Over Late Son's Properties
The bereaved mother is attributing the well-reported discord between Wunmi and Joseph to ownership of the late singer's properties.
The grieving mother is blaming Wunmi and Joseph's well-publicized feud on who owns the late singer's assets.
The fast-rising vocalist Mohbad died on September 12, 2023.
Social media debates surrounding his passing included conjecture regarding the fatherhood of his son Liam.
Joseph provided his testimony at coroner's court in October of 2023.
He said the late artist had told Marlian Records that he was worried about his wife's infidelity to another signee.
In an attempt to identify Liam's biological father, Joseph requested a DNA test.
Wunmi consented to the DNA test but asked that it be carried out in three different hospitals.
She also requested that Mohbad's family pay for the expenses of the testing, which included a trip to the US.
Abosede, however, asserts that Wunmi and Joseph were once friends.
She explained the reason they were at odds was because she refused to have Liam christened at Joseph's house, even though he requested it.
Promise went on to say that Mohbad's assets are the reason for the conflict between Joseph and Wunmi.
“Omowunmi and Joseph were friends, and it was pointless to fight any of them,” she said.
“What made Mohbad's father upset started during Liam's christening. He said they should have the ceremony in his house. But I insisted that it should take place in Mohbad's house.
“The major reason Joseph is having issues with Mohbad's wife is because of my late son's money and properties.”
Wunmi recently claimed to be well-informed of the singer's passing. She added that she was being intimidated into keeping quiet.
Joseph requested in February that Wunmi be interviewed by authorities in order to determine the reason behind the singer's demise.
He reiterated his demand for Liam to have a DNA test, saying that he wishes to spare the youngster from humiliation in the future.
