A Memorandum of Understanding on the Produce-For-Lagos Initiative was signed today by the governors of Niger State, Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, and Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

A long-term strategic partnership, the Produce-For-Lagos initiative will see Niger State produce food items (such as rice, tubers, legumes, and grains) and Lagos State position itself as a significant organized market (off takers).

While residents of Lagos State can be guaranteed food availability and price stability, farmers in Niger State will have a ready market for their produce.

Long-term, this project will establish a direct supply of farm products to the massive Lagos Food logistics that are currently taking place in Ketu Ereyun, Epe.
