Kate Middleton, Princess Of Wales, Discloses Her Cancer Diagnosis

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has disclosed that she has received a cancer diagnosis.

She revealed the information in a sincere statement that was made public this evening.

Kate reported that tests revealed she had cancer after undergoing a major abdominal surgery in January. She thanked everyone for their support during this trying time for her family.

She did not, however, disclose the kind of malignancy.

The distinctly emotional Princess stated in the video message: “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

Following the announcement in January by Kensington Palace that she had undergone scheduled stomach surgery and would not be returning to public responsibilities until after Easter, Kate has been recuperating in private.

Regarding Kate's health, there was a lot of public speculation. She has since disclosed that the family withheld any additional information until now in order to digest and handle this in private for the benefit of their small family.

Kate gave the following direct explanation: “It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I've had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.”
