Herbert Wigwe: The Secrets He Took To His Grave

Why Powerful Cabal Influenced Aig-Imoukhuede's Return As Access Holdings' Chairman

Your closest friend might hold onto your secrets for a while. Through thick and thin, your closest friend maintains your secrets. But a faithful friend, such as Herbert Wigwe, would carry your secrets with them beyond death.

Upon his passing, Access Holdings Plc, his company, was choked out by a powerful cabal made up of his clandestine customers, who acted as if the skeletons he assisted in hiding in their safe boxes were about to explode onto the public gallery's front lawn.

Following his sudden passing, a variety of mourners have emerged from the groves of Nigeria's wealthy upper class.

Some mourners grieve the passing of a dear friend, while others regret the passing of a cherished relative or benefactor. But among the grieving came an odd group of mourners, including several well-known figures and titans of industry who lamented Wigwe's death in a very different way, especially because of the financial damage it had caused them.

A number of prominent and powerful people in the nation have been plagued by anxiety and unending anguish following the sudden death of the former head of Access Holdings Pic.

The explanation makes sense because many of them entrusted Wigwe with enormous quantities of money and other things during his lifetime. Much of this good fortune was deliberately kept out of Access Bank's official records and cash registers.

As the man in control, Wigwe never had a need to tell his friends, associates, or subordinates where these funds were kept. Not even his longtime partner and best friend, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, with whom he had formed Access Bank.

According to the findings, the late head of Access Holdings came up with a clever plan to assist them in maintaining and investing their wealth, and they duly rewarded him for it. Insiders at Access Holdings claim that this was a major factor in their extreme dismay at Wigwe's unexpected passing.

“When his death was announced, some powerful people burst into tears, lamenting that their lives were virtually over. A popular Abuja big boy fainted and had to be placed on a drip in Abuja,” said one of the directors at Access Holdings

He claimed that even before Wigwe was buried, the majority of his covert clients had begun frantically calling their other connections at Access Holdings and Access Bank, pleading with them to assist them in going through their financial records to see if Wigwe had left a trail that would enable them to find and retrieve the billions of naira they had hidden away with his assistance.

Further investigation showed that they conspired to sway the appointment of the deceased's partner, Aig-Imoukhuede, out of pure desperation and fear of losing their riches.

The latter's decision was unexpected because Wigwe's wealthy and influential clientele had never been overly enthusiastic or cordial with him. Many of them thought he was arrogant and showed no respect for them, thus they hated his guts.
