Moses Bliss and his fiancé celebrate a vibrant traditional wedding in Ghana

Moses Bliss, a Nigerian gospel singer, and Marie Wiseborn, a Ghanaian fiancé, celebrated their highly anticipated traditional marriage at the Underbridge, East Legon, in Ghana on Thursday, using the hashtags #Foreverbliss #MMBliss24 #Foreverbliss24.

The customary marriage ritual, widely recognized as a blend of Ghanaian and Nigerian customs, encompasses the Ghanaian “knocking” ceremony, in which the bride's family formally proposes marriage to him.

The ceremony was adorned with vibrant shades of traditional Ghanaian attire and outfits from Southern Nigeria, creating a rich blend of Nigerian and Ghanaian traditions.

The couple's and their families' clothing was a tasteful fusion of George material, Nigerian regal “aso-oke” fabric, and Ghanaian vibrant “kente cloth.”

The bride's grand entrance in the well-known “Adowa Dance” with her bridesmaids and other traditional dancers was the highlight of the ceremony.

Agyare-Wiseborn and Moses Bliss announced their engagement earlier this year, and on February 27 they were civilly married in Abuja.

Along with sharing a few photos from their civil wedding on his Instagram page, the singer announced the news of their union on Tuesday.

In the post, Mose Bliss also showed his happiness at reaching the new milestone and lavished praise on Marie, referring to her as his “personal gift from God,”

“Civil wedding done!” he wrote. “It's official I'm legally married to my personal gift from God @mariewiseborn Lord we are grateful for helping us this far.”

The newlyweds could be seen looking tenderly into each other's eyes as they exchanged vows in a later video that the singer uploaded.

Marie sat through a song that Bliss composed especially for her while he serenade her at a grand piano.

On January 19, Bliss uploaded a detailed video of his elaborate proposal to Agyare Wiseborn.

Then, on his Instagram handle, Moses Bliss disclosed that he had connected with Marie when she tagged him in a video of herself dancing to his song Miracle No Dey Tire Jesus.

“I was like ahh, 'I like the way she praises God, wow she dances like David, as they say, the rest is now history.”
