EPL: Arsenal And Man City Draw, With Liverpool Taking A Two-point Lead

LIVERPOOL took the lead on a crucial day in the Premier League's three-way fight for the title, as Arsenal demonstrated their title credentials by holding defending champions Manchester City to a scoreless draw at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

With nine games remaining, Arsenal, led by Mikel Arteta, is running for its first league title in twenty years. City is in third place with sixty-four points.

Liverpool took the lead, after defeating Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 earlier on Sunday.

City controlled possession and attacked Arsenal in bunches. However, the visitors put on a model defensive performance to frustrate Pep Guardiola's team, who included league-leading scorer Erling Haaland, and extend their unbeaten league run to nine games.

Arsenal's greatest opportunities came from Gabriel Jesus, who missed two efforts in the first half and then just missed a chance to meet an attractive cross from Bukayo Saka.

The greatest chance for City came from an early corner kick by Kevin De Bruyne, which fell to goalkeeper David Raya after bouncing off Nathan Ake's shoulder.
