Drake Loses $600,000 Bet On Joshua Vs Ngannou Saudi Fight
Award-winning Canadian rapper and singer Drake lost a massive $600,000 wager when UFC title holder Francis Ngannou was defeated by British-Nigerian former world champion Anthony Joshua in their heavyweight match in Saudi Arabia.
The 37-year-old singer rose to fame two years ago when he began placing bets on fights. Since then, he has experienced both significant wins and losses.
The Mirror claims that if the Cameroonian had forced AJ to the canvas, Drake would have won $2 million from his $600,000 wager on Ngannou, the former UFC champion, to defeat Joshua.
Also, Drake was not compensated $920,000 after Israel Adesanya was defeated by Sean Strickland for the UFC middleweight title. Despite Drake's support, Strickland pulled off an upset victory on points in their world title matchup against Adesanya.
Joshua has now won four straight fights after dropping his previous two to Oleksandr Usyk. Three of those victories have come through knockouts in the past.
The 34-year-old began 2034 by knocking out Ngannou in the second round. He had already defeated Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius, and Otto Wallin in 2023.
