Super Falcons Defeat Cameroon To Qualify For The Next Round Of 2024 Olympics

Nigeria and Cameroon needed just one goal to advance to the next round, and the Super Falcons were just two games away from doing so.

The Super Falcons, who represent Nigeria, faced a formidable opponent in Cameroon's Indomitable Lionesses on Monday at the uneven MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja, but ultimately prevailed 1-0.

Jennifer Echegini's excellent work down the left flank set up Esther Okoronkwo's goal, the game's lone goal. After cutting back the ball for a well-positioned Okoronkwo to jab home, Echegini advanced to the byline.

Other qualifiers are scheduled for Monday across Africa, so the Falcons will have to wait to find out who their final opponents will be.
