Paul Pogba's football career will be suspended for four years due to doping. Pogba, who was formerly of Manchester United and is currently with Juventus, won't be able to play competitively until 2027, when he will be close to 34 years old.

Pogba's B sample tested positive for the compound DHEA in August 2023, but he failed the initial test. “Heartbroken” and “shocked” by the decision, he says.

According to reports, French midfielder Paul Pogba's doping test failure last year resulted in a four-year suspension from football.

Many people are already expressing concern that this unfortunate development could spell the end of the once most expensive player in the world's career.

According to reports that surfaced first in the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Pogba tested positive for testosterone following Juventus' season-opening match in August 2023.

He was suspended and had his wages drastically cut after the positive test resulted.

Pogba returned to Juventus in 2022 on a free transfer, breaking the previous record for the most expensive football transfer when he joined Manchester United in 2016.

He has only made 12 appearances during his second stint with the team due to a string of injuries.

The future of the 30-year-old is currently in jeopardy. Although he is free to challenge the anti-doping tribunal's decision, his attorneys' attempts to claim accidental ingestion of the prohibited substance were not successful.

Pogba's professional football career may be marred by the fact that he won't be able to play again until he is approximately 35 years old if the suspension is upheld, which would be unfortunate.
