Kidnappers Of Catholic Priests In Plateau State Arrested
The four suspected kidnappers suspected to have kidnapped two Catholic Priest of Pankshin Diocese
Three people, including the church's financial secretary, were allegedly detained for kidnapping two Catholic priests in Plateau State.
According to reports, four people have been detained for allegedly kidnapping two Catholic priests from the Saint Vincent de Paul Fier in Kwande, Plateau State's Shendam Diocese.
Frs. Jude Nwachukwu and Kenneth Kanwa were kidnapped on Thursday, February 1, when some unidentified men stormed the parish.
In a statement released on Sunday, January 4, parish priest Fr. Cornelius Nweke of St. John Mary Vianney, Kwande, Shendam Diocese, confirmed the priests' kidnapping and asked all Catholics to pray for their release.
In a surprising development, four alleged church members have been taken into custody in relation to the kidnapping. The financial secretary of the Church was said to be in charge of the group.
