AFCON 2023: Nigeria's Osimhen Doubtful For Cup Of Nations Semi-final

Nigeria could go into its Africa Cup of Nations semifinal match against South Africa on Wednesday without its star player

Victor Osimhen stays in Abidjan despite experiencing stomach pain as the Super Eagles depart for their match against South Africa.

The team's media officer, Raji Babatunde, confirmed to Peoples Gazette that the Napoli forward will not travel with the team due to stomach discomfort. The Nigerian contingents are scheduled to take a Monday night flight from Abidjan to Bouaké.

The Nigerian medical team will be keeping a close eye on Osimhen while he remains in Abidjan, where the team has been stationed since the competition started over three weeks ago.

The reigning African football king will, however, take a plane to Bouake on Tuesday morning if he is well enough to join the team by that evening.
