Faleye Olushola, special assistant to Herbert Wigwe, narrowly avoided death on Friday night, February 9, when his boss, wife, and son perished in an unfortunate helicopter crash.

Recall that the CEO of Access Holdings Plc, his wife, Chizoba, and son died when the chopper crashed in California, USA.

They were heading to Las Vegas when the tragic incident occurred near a border city between Nevada and California on Friday night, February 9, 2024.

Olushola, whose name was on the manifest, managed to avoid death by choosing to travel by road rather than boarding the unfortunate flight.

Olushola took off with Wigwe, his son, wife, and the former group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), according to ThisDay. Abimbola Ogunbanjo traveled to Palm Springs, California, from London, United Kingdom.

However, Olushola refused to board the fateful flight to Boulder City, Nevada, upon arriving in Palm Springs, stating that the weather prevented him from flying by helicopter at night.

It was reported that he chose to drive to Boulder City instead of taking the plane, which saved the lives of four other people.
