Today, the players of the Nigerian national team arrived in the nation's capital. Soon after, images and videos of the national heroes meeting with the federation president went viral online.
The Nigerian national team provided the nation's residents with great pride and support throughout the African Cup of Nations, despite their elimination at the final stage.
They bravely made it to the championship game against overwhelming odds, only to lose 2-1 to the Ivory Coast, the host nation.
