A presidential welcome was extended to the Super Eagles in recognition of their achievements during the just ended African Cup of Nations.

In appreciation for their service, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu gives the Super Eagles and team Nigeria their MON award, one Nigerian apartment, and a plot of land in the Federal Capital Territory.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu welcomed the Nigerian Super Eagles as heroes at the Federal Capital Territory after they won the silver medal in the AFCON 2023.

Today, the players of the Nigerian national team arrived in the nation's capital. Soon after, images and videos of the national heroes meeting with the federation president went viral online.

The Nigerian national team provided the nation's residents with great pride and support throughout the African Cup of Nations, despite their elimination at the final stage.

They bravely made it to the championship game against overwhelming odds, only to lose 2-1 to the Ivory Coast, the host nation.

In keeping with tradition, the government of the nation hosted the players and staff as a way of thanking her ambassadors for their outstanding sporting accomplishments.

In matching green Friday native clothes and donning caps in the country's dual colors of green and white, the players and coaching staff were in uniform.

Mr. President himself presented the players with their awards and bestowed upon each the national honor of MON (Member of the Order of Niger).
